In pre-Industrialization era Khadi, the hand spun cloth, was the only fabric made in India; which Gandhiji made central to his vision of self- reliance and self-sufficiency. In his desire that every Indian should spin one’s own cotton thread and to weave Khadi, Gandhiji embedded twin-purpose; one that the people should get engaged in a focused activity and create one’s own gainful employment thereby contributing to the country's economic wealth. During the post-independence era, Indian industrialists set up capital intensive textile mills. Due to mass production, these mills could offer fine cloth at lower prices. Synthetic and blended material, like polyester became available at very low price compared to Khadi.

Organizational Structure and New Product Development in Banking Industry of Pakistan
This study focuses on the impact of organizational structural facets i.e., centralization, decentralization and task specialization on the new product development. The broad problem area of the study was the influence of organizational structure and its facets on the new product development process that had been done by seeing the perception of employees of well-known banks of Pakistan. Resource based view theory and bureaucracy theory were used. Data was collected through self administered questionnaires from 145 employees of different banks, who were involved in the decision making process. Correlation and regression analysis were used. Convenience sampling was for data collection.

Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided-Manufacture (CAM) in Fashion Design Training
The purpose of this study was to determine the use and implementation of CAD in the fashion industry. The development and future of CAD technology in higher education was investigated, and the implementation determined. An interview schedule was developed to ascertain the implementation and effectiveness of CAD training at university. Descriptive statistical analysis was applied to analyze the data obtained. The analysis showed that CAD has indeed been used in industry for the past decade, yet only a small percentage of CAD operators have received the necessary CAD knowledge from the relevant apparel disciplines. The results of the analysis were used to analyze and suggest restructuring of CAD training currently applied in the department of Fashion at the University of Huddersfield, UK.

Role of Products Diversification on Firms Cash Holding
The strategy of diversification is always associated with risk decrease. The emergence of new competitors and business complexity along with environmental risks have necessitated the protection of liquidity for companies survival. In this paper, we dealt with the study of the role of the diversification strategy in the protection of companies liquidity. We thus analyzed the financial information of 81 companies listed in the Tehran Security Bourse within the period 2005-2009. The research method is based on the correlation test and Eviews software was used to analyze the results. The research findings show that the more diversified products the companies, have the more effectively they manage to sell their assets

The Impact of Informal Sector Training on Economic Development: Perspectives from Kisii County, Kenya
This paper is about the impact of informal Sector Training on economic development, a study of Kisii County. The objectives of the study were to find out whether there is a relationship between informal sector training and economic development and evaluate the factors that influenced informal sector training. To achieve this, a sample of 300 respondents in all the districts in Kisii County was selected 20 training centers and working places were picked using simple random sampling from 50 informal sector training centers and work place identified. Questionnaires were administered to the respondents. Visits to each training centers and working place over the period of study. Assistants presented copies of the questionnaires to workers to complete and supplementary information was obtained from management staff of the training centers. Data collected was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.

The Relation between Corporate Governance and Intellectual Capital Stressing Human Capital Characteristics
Disclosing intellectual capital information has increased in previous decade for the existence of large companies with intangible assets and values. Corporate governance can play an effective role in increasing the extent and quality of intellectual capital information. This study aims to examine the relationship between corporate governance mechanisms like non- executive directors proportion, board size, CEO duality from board chairman, and intellectual capital stressing human capital characteristic in 107 companies with 18 industries in Tehran Security Exchange for a 5-year time period (2005-2010). Based on previous literature, first the hypotheses were formed and then they were investigated using stepwise regression method.

Advertising and Brand Equity Creation: Examination of Product Market in Iran
The role of marketing mix elements has been shown to be significant in building brand equity and its dimensions, while there are arguments regarding the contrary role of some elements of marketing mix. This study attends to this issue by examining advertising, as one of the evident elements of marketing mix, and how it would be related to different dimensions of brand equity; and how the dimensions of brand equity would be in positive and significant inter-relationship in the process of building brand equity. By analyzing 226 data from home appliances consumers in Iran using AMOS, this study found only significant relationship between advertising and brand awareness, while the latter found to be significantly related to brand association and perceived quality.

Growth of Commercial Banks in India
In the light of liberalization, privatization and globalization a lot of challenges were faced by the commercial banks. After the nationalization and till the early 1990s, the main thrust of banking operations was on social banking and accordingly the emphasis was placed on enhancing the branch network in rural and semi-urban areas. The present paper seeks to analyse the growth, development and challenges of commercial banks in India, which have been occurring in the wake of banking sector reforms in India. The analysis brings into light that in the post-nationalisation period, the proportions of rural areas in total number of bank branches as well as in credit deployment and deposit mobilisation have been declined. On the other hand, the metropolitan areas registered a high increase in their percentage share in total expansion, credit deployment and deposit mobilization.

Corporate Governance in Indian Commodity Exchanges: A Study of Corporate Governance Practices of MCX and NCDEX as Non Listed Companies
In the wake of recent financial turmoil and instability, the term corporate governance shows the scope of efficient integrity between Company Laws , Securities Compliance and Legislative Acts of India. This study seeks to find to which extent Major Indian Commodity Exchanges disclose their corporate governance practices by examining the annual reports and practices as to adherence to mandatory and non mandatory disclosure norms with inclusion of Clause 49 of Listing Agreement for listed companies or otherwise as to safeguard the interest of investors, society and legislative authorities through enhanced governance practices for FY2010 and FY2011 prior to listing. Authors find a substantial scope for corporate governance for shifting from non mandatory to mandatory mechanisms.

Non Audit Services and Auditor’s Independence in Nigeria
The independence of the auditor is the foundation of the principle of objectivity in the auditing profession. It is indeed a major statutory element in financial reporting process and a key condition for eliciting public confidence and adding value to all audited financial reports. The primary purpose of the paper is to undertake an exploratory study of the conceptual framework and issues in auditor independence and in particular to identify the threat posed by non audit fees to the emergence and sustenance of auditor independence. Though the arguments in this regards reflect the existence of theoretical divergences, the empirical findings also indicate that findings are at polarity. In Nigeria, the threat of non-audit services to auditor independence has not attracted adequate research and policy attention.

Leadership is the central basis for an organization. Due to the increasing challenges and changing needs in the knowledge society of the 21st century, leadership studies provide two recent solutions for effective leadership. The heroic phase of leadership studies specifically refers to the charismatic and transformational leadership, the post-heroic phase to self-leadership, superleadership, empowering leadership, and shared leadership. In the present paper, self-leadership, motivation to lead, transformational leadership and superleadership are conceptually related to each other for the first time. An effective leader requires effective self-leadership skills and a high (intrinsic) motivation to lead. Self-leadership and motivation to lead are a key prerequisite for effective leadership.

The Effects of Corporate Governance Mechanism on the Audit Report: Applying Fuzzy Regression
Prior bodies of research show that there is an association between corporate governance characteristics and the quality of financial reporting. This research aimed to investigate the effect of some corporate governance characteristics including institutional ownership, non-executive board members, CEO duality and internal auditors on the audit reports in Iran. The research sample includes 159 of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) listed companies from 2005 to 2008. The fuzzy regression was applied to test the research hypotheses. The results indicate that non-executive members and internal auditors have a negative impact on the likelihood of receiving modified audit opinions. The results also reveal that CEO duality is positively associated with the likelihood of receiving modified audit opinions.

Perceptions in the Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) among Distance Learning Students in the University of Education, Winneba, Kumasi Campus, Ghana
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) encompasses the effective use of equipment and programs to access, retrieve, convert, store, organize, manipulate and present data and information (Gay & Blades, 2005). Despite this important role ICT plays in academic pursuit, it is perceived as less important with some students. The exploratory work in this paper examines the perceptions in the use of ICT among Distance Learning Students in the University of Education, Winneba, Kumasi Campus, Ghana. The paper sought the attitudes of distance learning students to ICT use, examined the impact of gender on the use of ICT and the reasons for the usage. Of the sample of 270 students, 77% indicated they had regular access to a computer from home and used the internet. Access to computer use off-campus by gender was found to be insignificant.

Stress Impact among Radiographers
This study investigates the relationship between job stress and general health among Radiographers in Tirunelveli city, Tamilnadu. The study has ranked the organization related stressors and Radiographers. specific stressors. The sample consists of 50 Radiographres from 20 leading private hospitals and 5 Diagnostic centers at Tirunelveli city. Purposive sampling technique has been adopted. Simple average, weighted average and chi square test have been used to analyze the data. Hypothesis has been framed and tested. The result shows that there is a relationship between age and organization related stressors; marital status and Radiographers. specific stressors. Impact of general health affected by stress has been ranked.
